About Kristian

I am a calm, approachable and engaging tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in Business Studies and related subjects. I believe learning should be clear, structured and enjoyable, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas.

I have over 100 hours of tutoring experience through Titanium Tutors since 2019, supporting students across GCSE, A-Level and university level. My lessons focus on Business Studies, Marketing, Economics and finance-related topics, where I combine academic theory with real-world examples from business and financial markets to make learning practical and engaging.

Academically, I hold a BA (Hons) in Law & Business Studies from the University of Liverpool and a Graduate Diploma in Law. I also hold professional finance qualifications from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, including the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma and Certificate in Paraplanning.

Alongside tutoring, I work in senior leadership roles within FTSE 100 companies. This allows me to bring real-world commercial experience into my teaching, helping students understand how business concepts apply outside the classroom.

My focus is always on helping students improve both their understanding and exam technique. I work with students to break down complex concepts, build structured revision plans and develop the confidence needed to perform well in exams and coursework.

I have supported students in achieving strong academic outcomes, including helping a GCSE Business student improve from a predicted Grade 2 to a final Grade 9, and supporting a Business degree student with dissertation development who achieved a final 2:1 classification.

I take a professional but friendly approach to tutoring, ensuring lessons are supportive, engaging and tailored to each student’s learning style.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on making business concepts clear, practical, and relevant to the real world. I combine academic theory with real-world business examples from marketing strategy, entrepreneurship, and financial markets to help students understand how concepts apply outside the classroom.

Lessons are structured around three key stages:

1. Concept Understanding
We start by breaking down key topics from the syllabus into simple, clear explanations. I often use real-world examples from business, marketing campaigns, and financial markets to make concepts easier to understand.

2. Application and Practice
Once the concept is understood, we apply it through exam-style questions, case studies, and discussion. This helps students develop the analytical thinking required for Business Studies and Economics exams.

3. Exam Technique and Confidence Building
A large focus of my lessons is improving exam technique. I help students understand how to structure answers, apply business terminology correctly, and maximise marks in written responses.

Lesson Structure

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for coursework or dissertation support.

A typical lesson includes:

• Review of previous topics or homework
• Explanation of new concepts
• Worked examples or case studies
• Practice exam questions and feedback

Lessons are delivered online via Zoom or Google Meet, allowing flexible scheduling.
