About Matt
I have 10 years of teaching experience and hold a PhD in Ecology and Conservation Biology. My fascination with Biology grew from studying ecosystems and understanding the relationships that connect all living organisms. Teaching gives me the opportunity to share that passion while helping students succeed academically.
My teaching philosophy centres on engagement, understanding, and encouragement. I enjoy helping learners make meaningful connections between scientific concepts and real-life situations. Lessons are tailored to support individual learning styles and goals.
Outside teaching, I follow developments in environmental research, biodiversity studies, and conservation efforts around the world. These interests help me bring current and relevant examples into lessons. Supporting students as they gain confidence and scientific curiosity continues to inspire me every day.

My Biology lessons focus on helping students understand the complexity and diversity of life through engaging and structured learning experiences. We explore genetics, ecology, physiology, evolution, microbiology, and environmental science using practical examples and clear explanations. I encourage learners to connect biological concepts with observations from the natural world.
Lessons are designed to promote scientific enquiry and critical thinking. Students work through diagrams, case studies, and biological investigations that strengthen understanding while developing analytical skills. Topics are presented in a logical sequence that helps learners build confidence and long-term retention.
