He knows the technical reasoning behind everything he had me do and knows the step-by-step process to improve your voice. One of the things, I want to point out about Joao is that he's very positive which is a great attribute you want in a teacher. I'm excited to begin my singing journey with Joao.

Perfect! Joao is a truly excellent teacher. I look forward to our weekly lessons. He is warm and encouraging but also very thorough. I have a lot of emotional blocks with my singing and we spend time on both those and the practical techniques that have helped me transcend the blockages. It really is the complete package. I also love that he knows so many different styles of music and is very open minded. He never lets you feel like a failure but he unfailingly holds you to the correct standard. He is flexible with scheduling too which is huge for me. For me he is a fantastic teacher and I’ve been so surprised by how much I’ve improved and by how supported I feel. I have a tendency to be hard on myself and Joao does not allow me to do that anymore. I’ve realised that I don’t have to castigate myself harshly to improve. I can be kind to myself and love myself to excellence. I didn’t think this was possible. Every class is like therapy… and I have learned how practise leads to freedom. Practise is the road to joy.

Perfect! This man is the Yoda of music. His lessons are fun and engaging while he also pinpoints the areas you need to improve in. He also gives really detailed practice plans for you to go home and practice so there’s no guess work on what you should be practicing. The man’s a wizard. 10/10 would recommend.
