About Jihad

I have had the privilege of being a student in one of the oldest and most rigorous academic institutions in the world, which brought about in me a drive to reignite passion for learning and self-development in others.
As such, I have been teaching and supporting others academically and professionally for many years, even whilst I pursue my own continuous education (my latest milestone of which has been my venture in to Educational Leadership via a Masters, with my Thesis exploring the way we can utilise AI and emotional intelligence to make better decisions in educational settings). Clearly, I am passionate about improving our relationships with learning and self-development.

My teaching has been across a range of contexts and locations around the world, providing ongoing inspiration for my own teaching philosophies whilst continuously allowing me to see newer reasons for why learning languages is so imperative to not only competing in our world, but also flourishing in it socially,

It is with great pride I can say my past students still reach out to me to let me know that our lessons and my approach have given them long standing confidence in their abilities as well as the walk to go with it!

About the lesson

My lessons are for those who want to see real growth in their mastery of either Arabic or English, regardless of their age or level of experience. I am confident I can support you 'til the end.

I place an emphasis on native accent acquisition.

For those interested in learning Arabic, I can also offer lessons in Qur'anic recitation as I am a hafidh (memoriser of the entire Qur'an) with an ijaza.

Due to my varied background I have been exposed to a variety of pedagogies in different cultural contexts which I draw upon in my own lessons. I've taught children and adults alike, with repeated fantastic results, inspiring me to continue my efforts.
I firmly believe mine and my students' success is attributed to my prioritisation in building a good rapport and supporting the student comprehensively with their challenges to learning.

My qualifications and experience are as follows:
Al-Azhar BA in Simultaneous Interpretation (and Islamic Studies) in English and Arabic
MA in Educational Leadership
CELTA grade A
IELTS 7.5
120 Hour TESOL
CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) Band 4
TEYL (Teaching English for Young Learners)

- Teaching Islamic Studies in English at a private school in the Gulf
- Teaching iGCSE and SATs
- Teaching specialised English to STEM professionals in a training academy for development in the energy and water industries.

Jihad is by far the most competent and pragmatic person I have ever met, with a gift for teaching and connecting with others. He has been able to explain many complicated concepts to me across a wide range of topics, his approach being investigative and supportive. I have seen first-hand the level of satisfaction his students have with him as they often try to keep in contact with him to let them know if their ongoing progress in life which they attribute Jihad’s teaching as serving a significant role in helping to facilitate. I would certainly recommend anybody to learn Languages and also Islamic Studies with Jihad, his experience and rigour is seriously top class.
