About Lorraine
I have tutored 20+ students in reading using fun phonics techniques, including games and engaging stories that are never dull. I challenge students to try new activities to improve fluency, such as speed reading practice and vocabulary development. Students improve in comprehension by visualizing what they read and by answering strategic questions about the text they are reading.

As an Orton/Gillingham trained tutor, I have helped many students improve their reading and spelling skills in a one-on-one setting. I use the Barton reading program and tailor lessons to meet students’ needs based on initial assessments and keeping in contact with the classroom teacher. I can meet your child in the local library or in your home. My fees are reasonable.
