About Kening
Hi, I’m Karen Hu. I’m a Mandarin native speaker and a JLPT N2 qualified Japanese learner, currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Computing and a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) at the University of Sydney. I have experience tutoring Math and English to Years 1–12 local students and international students (English as second language). I hold a Working With Children Check (WWCC). I’m professional, patient, and well-prepared, focusing on clear explanations, structured lessons, and building confidence step by step. I offer lessons in Sydney or online, depending on what suits you best. Location can be negotiated to suit us best.

My lessons are typically 1–2 hours and are tailored to each student’s personal profile, goals, and current level.
My teaching content combines what you want to learn and what best suits the learning objectives for your current year level or course.
Each class is structured into three parts:
(1) questions + homework check,
(2) teaching prepared content with step-by-step explanations,
(3) guided practice questions to reinforce what we covered.
If time permits, I include extension questions to stretch high achievers and build confidence.
My lessons suit primary and high school students, especially international students who wish to take EALD course for HSC
