About Sophia
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta (Modern Languages major, Biology minor), and currently a Bachelor of Education student, I have the knowledge for you to excel, whether in English, French, German, Portuguese, or the sciences!
My passion for languages led me to complete Portuguese studies at the Universidade Federal do Paraná (2013), where I achieved government-administered CELPE-BRAS certification (Level Advanced) (2014). Returning to Brazil in 2019, I taught bilingual classes at a Canadian elementary school for nearly half a year.
Having been immersed in German since childhood too, I achieved top marks on the internationally-recognized C1 Sprachdiplom (Level Advanced) (2013).
Now, having taught multiple age levels in these subjects back home in Canada, from children to adults, I not only have knowledge, but practical skills to support elementary to high school students and beyond.
Whether verb conjugations or ecology, I want to see you achieve top marks in your subject areas too!
