About Safouan

I have been giving lessons for 4 years and I have had the opportunity to teach Arabic to many students. I started in Tunisia, giving lessons to Italian researchers of Arabic language and literature. The courses deal with the Arabic language but also with history, music, art and culture to get a wider view of the Arab world in general. At La Sapienza I studied in an international class, which gave me the opportunity to compare myself with students coming from different cultures. I speak several languages and I know many dialects, which allows me to make connections between numerous contexts.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Tunisian and i'm graduated in Product Design. I have been living in Rome for 3 years and I offer formal or dialectical Arabic (Tunisian) lessons for all levels. The course is designed for those who are interested in immersing themselves in the Arabic culture, particularly that of the Maghreb countries, for simple curiosity or for academic / professional purposes. I am passionate about history, art and music (Arabic music diploma) and the lessons do not only deal with language. I also speak French perfectly and it is possible to request bilingual Arabic / French lessons. My teaching experiences began in Tunisia with individual lessons given to Italian researchers of Arabic language and literature. Learning a new language can be funny, and should in no way be a burden; it should instead be a pleasant experience, stimulate interest in a new culture, so rich and varied. The lessons will take place in a quiet environment, just to make the student feel as comfortable as possible. Together we will look for the most effective teaching method to get great results in the shortest possible time.

Perfect! Safouan è un insegnante molto bravo, preciso e competente, mi ha aiutato già tanto anche se non abbiamo fatto ancora tante lezioni. Avevo già una base di arabo per un corso fatto qualche anno fa e parecchie cose non mi erano ancora chiare ma grazie a Safouan sono finalmente riuscita a capire. Lui ha un modo semplice, interessante e divertente di insegnare!! Sono molto entusiasta di continuare con le lezioni.

Safouan is a very good teacher and has already helped me a lot in the few lessons we have done so far. I studied Arabic a few years ago and there were a lot of things I didn’t understand but thanks to Safouan he has pulled it all together and made sense of it all. He has a simple, interesting and fun way of teaching. I’m very pleased and can’t wait till my next lesson.....
