About Anthony
I am a 2nd year medical student studying at the University of Southampton graduating from Reading Grammar School. I’ve always had a strong desire teach which I have shown through mentoring at my secondary school and volunteering at local primary schools. I gain satisfaction and a sense of reward from helping students understand concepts which they have real struggle with.

I liked to use teaching methods whichmale learning fun and memorable. For example, I love to draw mindmaps and teach in an order of topics which link to each, in this way you use knowledge you already have and build upon it logically. In my experience of personal learning I find these methods to be much more likely to stick in the long run. A typical lesson would last from 45mins to an 1hr and my lessons are mainly for GCSE or A-level biology students. I have had previous experience volunteering at local primary schools teaching groups of children who needed extra help. This gave me experience in helping people who need complex concepts broken down into understandable chunks. I also mentored students in my secondary school at lunch times.
