About Kelvin Ejumevwo

Hi, I’m Kelvin — I’ve loved math my whole life, which is why I earned a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and have spent the last 14+ years helping students move from “I hate this” to “I’ve got this.” Back in college, I was the friend everyone texted at 11 PM when the homework stopped making sense. That same clarity, calm, and presence are what I bring to every single lesson.

I specialize in making abstract and high-stakes math—Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations—feel logical and practical. Beyond teaching, I geek out on financial literacy and storytelling, which helps me ground tough concepts in real-world logic.

My Approach to Lessons
Instead of spending our first conversation trying to "prove" my value by over-explaining, I start by getting curious about you. I use a simple framework to make sure every session directly targets your specific goals:

ASK: “What would you like to do more easily, and where do you usually get stuck?” We’ll look at a real example of a problem you’ve faced. I often ask: “When does this already feel easier?” to spot the strengths you already have.

REFLECT: “So what matters most to you is… Have I understood correctly?” I ensure we are completely aligned before moving forward.

TRY: We work through one small exercise together right then and there. I’ll ask, “What did you notice?” so you experience how clear and achievable math can be.

AGREE: We map out a concrete starting point, clear lesson plan, and review process, making your next steps seamless.

If you’re tired of feeling lost in class or stressed before exams, let’s change that narrative together. Book a trial session to get a clearer understanding and a customized roadmap. I respond quickly and look forward to working with you!

My Approach
I don’t just help you finish tonight’s homework. I help you build real understanding so the knowledge sticks and your grades climb.
I adapt every session to how you learn — visual, step-by-step, conceptual, or high-speed problem-solving. My style is interactive, zero-pressure, and highly efficient. If something doesn’t click the first way, I explain it a second and third way until it does.

My Proven 5-Step Session Structure
1. Warm-Up – Quick activation of prior knowledge so new material connects instantly.
2. Clear Teaching – Live, visual, step-by-step explanation of the concept.
3. Instant Check – Mini questions so we catch and fix confusion in real time.
4. Guided Practice – You solve problems with strategic support (I never just give answers).
5. Stretch & Mastery – Higher-level challenges that prepare you for top scores and unfamiliar exam questions.

Who I Work Best With
• Students who need stronger foundations or to fill long-standing gaps
• Students who understand the examples in class but freeze on new or multi-step problems
• Students aiming for top scores on AP Calculus, AP Statistics, SAT Math, ACT Math, IB, or college courses
• Students who have lost confidence and need a patient, structured rebuild

Subjects & Levels I Cover
Middle school through college: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (AB/BC), Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Discrete Math, and test prep (SAT, ACT, AP, IB).

What Happens in Your First Trial Lesson (30–50 min)
1. Friendly diagnostic to pinpoint exact gaps (no pressure).
2. Immediate clarity on 2–3 topics that have been frustrating you.
3. A personalized study roadmap with clear priorities and timelines.
You’ll walk away knowing exactly what to work on and feeling more confident already.

I bring university-level depth with middle-school clarity, 14+ years of proven results, and genuine patience. Students and parents choose me because grades improve and math anxiety drops.
Ready to stop struggling and start understanding?
Book your trial now — I reply quickly and have openings this week. Let’s make math make sense.
