About Marcus
I am fresh out of school and currently just beginning my gap year. Prior to me finishing my HSC, I was set on studying abroad in Europe; but as a result of Covid-19, decided to stay in Sydney and focus on my music. I have taught small ensemble groups from SYO (Sydney Youth Orchestra) as I was the concertmaster of the flagship orchestra for 4 years. I am very excited about taking my teaching more seriously this year and expanding my teaching knowledge and experience.

As a teacher, I strive to suit my teaching methods and ideologies based on my students needs and aspirations. If my student is very serious about the violin and aims to take part in exams, performances, orchestra, chamber music, ect. I can be very meticulous and methodical with setting a strict practice schedule; choosing appropriate repertoire, and pushing the student to achieve the best results that they can achieve. However, I will always aim to make the lessons as fun and enjoyable as possible, as I believe music is about enjoyment, fulfillment, and self expression. I am very flexible with teaching to the students wants and needs.

Details
My rate is always 50 dollars/h. If students want half hr lessons, my rate is 30 dollars, and 40 dollars for 45 minute lessons.
