About Gertie
Did you know that playing piano properly begins with good posture and hand position? My Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire serves as the baseline for my 13 years of experience. I enjoy teaching students how to handle ear training, sight transposition, pop and contemporary styles, accompaniment skills, and sight playing. I keep my instruction practical so that you actually sound like a musician while we work together on your goals.

Piano practice flows best when you can review the specific feedback provided during our time together. We sit down to record a short playback of each session so students can review every detail at home. This allows you to listen back to your own posture, hand position, and phrasing with a fresh ear after the lesson ends. Drawing on 13 years of studio experience, I ensure that the pace is steady and that every minute spent at the keys builds towards your future success.
