About Jaclyn

I have been teaching English for 20 years but recently retired. Due to my deep passion for teaching, I love to guide every child under my care to achieve his/her highest potential. My greatest job satisfaction and achievement were nurturing a few Down Syndrome children's reading skills and developing their strong interest in reading books.

About the lesson

#There will be a short placement test to gauge student's reading and comprehension ability on the first (free) class. A study plan will be discussed with parents. #Learning materials are curated to fit student's learning ability. #Every session shall include storybook reading as I strongly believe students could build vocabulary and write expressively through reading habits. #Parents will be updated on student's progress bi-weekly / monthly / as needed. #Preschooler session is 1 hour (RM 40/hr), #Primary 1-3 is 1.5 hours (RM45/hr), #Primary 4-6 is 1.5 hours (RM50/hr) #Secondary 1-3 is 1.5 hours (RM55/hr) # Session could be at your comfort home / my place / online. Perfect! I sent my 4 year old boy to learn phonics with teacher Jaclyn. He had a tremendous improvement and was able to read three letter words within 3 weeks only!

Teacher Jaclyn is friendly and really knows how to motivate her students. She is great at building confidence and keeping lessons fun and engaging through a variety of activities. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning English.
