About Lara

I have lectured at the biggest and highest performing colleges in the country, and at times have taught over 1000 students weekly. I have tutored for 13 years and have helped students up a grade and get into their desired University choice. I not only hold a valid teaching qualification but two degrees in Psychology also at a BSc Hons and MSc.

In addition to presenting on the tutor2u Psychology livestreams, I also present at the tutor2u Psychology Grade Booster and Stronger Foundations cinema-based exam workshops. In recent years, I have presented to many thousands of Psychology students at those events, helping them with improving their exam technique and building the foundations of A-Level Psychology. As a recent examiner, I have a detailed understanding of the requirements of the exam board in each exam paper and the challenges that students have to overcome to maximise their performance.

About the lesson

I have had the pleasure of teaching over 1000 students at outstanding institutions with an inclusive student body from varying backgrounds and abilities, including those who are deaf, suffer from severe mental health issues, learning disabilities such as Down Syndrome, as well as learning difficulties. I always aim to have a close rapport with my students as this really helps students to feel more relaxed and engaged in learning. I have always felt particularly energised to provide a more bespoke, student-led and student-tailored approach to A-Level study, which I feel tutoring can really provide.

I would 100% recommend Lara as a Psychology tutor. She massively helped me jump grades and really improved the way I approached essays, especially with planning and structure. What I really liked about Lara was that she genuinely put effort into helping me improve. She would set me homework and then go through it with me, focusing on my weaker areas rather than just moving on. She was really supportive and made a huge difference to my grades and confidence in Psychology.
