About Mia
Starting our first session, you will notice the focus is purely on your current physical habits. I often find that vocal tension is simply a sign of a body needing a better alignment strategy. We will run through specific warm up exercises that I record for you to use during your daily home practice.
This ensures your vocal health remains a priority between our meetings. I find that integrating these routines creates a solid foundation for your technical growth. Working with grade exam candidates means I understand the exact requirements for your assessments. I look forward to hearing your progress at our next meeting.

Honestly, navigating the transition from a non-musical family to the RAM felt like learning a second language. I spent years finding my own voice while training to become a classical vocalist. After 6 years of performing across the UK, I shifted my focus to helping others navigate their own artistic paths. I have guided 100s of students through their ABRSM and Trinity exams from Grade 1 through Diploma.
My teaching style is quite funny and structured because classical technique requires rigour without losing the human spark. I specialise in performance confidence and vocal health for working professionals and returning learners.
We spend time on vibrato control and diction alongside detailed sight singing exercises. I also focus on microphone technique and vocal range extension for advanced learners. I view teaching as a craft that demands precision and constant care. Is your own voice ready for the next challenge?
