About Lidia
Teaching violin remains my primary way to share the Russian tradition I studied for 13 years. My lessons focus on tuning by ear, left hand agility, scales and arpeggios, and spiccato and staccato bowing. Because I am a Juilliard graduate, I place rhythm and timing, tone production, music theory, shifting positions, and classical repertoire at the center of our work.
Helping students find clarity in their intonation and grace in their movement is a deeply enjoyable aspect of my life. I also integrate piano study into my pedagogy, which informs how my students understand phrasing and musical structure.

We will explore the nuances of the violin by applying the formal training I received at Juilliard to your specific technical hurdles. I emphasize how each solo line functions within a larger chamber ensemble, ensuring your rhythm, intonation, and tone production are ready for collaborative music making. My pedagogical approach relies on weekly practice modules assigned with every class to ensure your 6.0 technical standard is met.
