About Stephanie
"Sound should ring like a bell against the wood of your instrument. I balance my pace by listening for tension that might hinder your intonation or rhythm.
We spend significant time on ear training because hearing the note before playing it is the secret to accuracy. I often pause to adjust a finger placement or to suggest a different approach to a scale.
Returning learners sometimes find that breaking old habits is the most challenging part of our work. Advanced learners appreciate my focus on orchestral playing and subtle tone production. It is a slow, methodical process that rewards the diligent. I hope to help you build a solid foundation."

"Technique is often considered the enemy of musicality, but I maintain it is the only path to true freedom. I grew up in Sherbrooke and refined my craft at the Conservatoire de Montréal. My 6 years of experience in the field allow me to support performance-focused students and returning learners with equal rigor.
My MMus degree is more than a credential, as it frames how I view every note played. You will find that I prioritize steady, sustainable progress over flashy shortcuts. I am quite particular about the setup of the left hand and the quality of the bow arm. My approach focuses on steady, consistent improvement."
