About Nora
I have over 8 years of skilled teaching violin and hold a Bachelor of Music in Early Music, specializing in Baroque Violin. My passion lies in Irish, Scottish, American Old-Time, and other rich folk traditions. I focus on teaching ornamentation, rhythmic bowing patterns, and ear-based learning to help students truly feel the music. My lessons blend technique with cultural storytelling. I use folk jam tracks, drone tuners, and repertoire-based instruction to make learning engaging and authentic. Students learn to connect deeply with each style through hands-on practice and listening. I encourage exploration and improvisation within these traditions. My teaching adapts to each student’s pace and learning style. Whether you are a beginner or advancing your skills, my goal is to build both confidence and musical sensitivity.
