About Yuyan

你好！Hello! I'm Yuyan, a native Mandarin speaker from China, currently living in London, UK.

I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing Chinese language and culture. Outside of teaching, I love cooking Chinese food, travelling, reading, and exploring different cultures. I also create Chinese language and cultural content online, which allows me to connect with learners from around the world.

About the lesson

In our first lesson, we will get to know your current level, discuss your learning goals, choose suitable learning materials, and create a clear study plan together. I will also recommend useful learning resources, including pinyin practice, online dictionaries, grammar guides, reading and listening materials, so you always know what to study between lessons.

I've known Yuyan for two years, and one of the things I admire most about her is her patience and kindness. She has a calm and encouraging way of explaining things, and she always takes the time to make sure people feel comfortable and understood. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly and patient teacher.
