About Matthew
I've been a certified teacher for 22 years and still going strong. I've worked with students of all level, age, background, and nationality.
I truly enjoy teaching and working with all students. I also have experience working with students with Special/Behavioral Needs. In addition, I have experience working with students going through difficult situations what may make learning more challenging.
I'm very familiar with IEP/504's, etc., process(es) and procedures.
I would like to mention that I am a male tutor. I only mention this because some students respond better to male or female tutors and I just want to be transparent. The most important part is what's best for the student.
I also appreciate the challenges student/athletes face in their education. I've been coaching for 14 years on the youth and high school levels.

I am currently a teacher and I have taught elementary, middle, and some high school/higher level classes.
In my experience, patience and persistence wins every time. I try to look at the student as a whole, and then try to help them organize their work in such a way to maximize their strength's and build upon their area('s) of need.
I've worked with a wide range of students over the years and I think this gives me a unique perspective on how to best to serve them. I've worked with Typical students, Gifted students, and almost all Learning/Behavioral challenges.
My approach is different for every student. Students have different ways they can be motivated and I enjoy discovering what makes them most successful.
