About Tanya
I am a tutor who loves engaging with students and watching them grow in intellect. Knowledge is power and giving people that key is a key driver to why I do what I do. I also love watching students excel where they were once struggling and being a person who would have helped create that change is inspiring. I also believe student minds need to be unlocked because once they are unlocked I learn things from them. I am not just doing this to teach but to also learn and get something from students. I also just love teaching math and science because they explain everything around us even if it does not make sense sometimes. Lastly, I value student-teacher connection because teachers have the power to change lives.

How I teach my class is I explain the concept until the student understands and I do this using examples, especially in math. Afterwards, I give the student an opportunity to give it a go. They do not do it on their own, they teach me. This gives students confidence in their work and reduces instances where students doubt their work and their answers. This reduces the pace for making silly mistakes. The typical length for my classes is 30 minutes and this can be adjusted and tailored to the student's needs and preferences. My lessons are for students in middle school, which consists of students from year 5 to year 9. My experience in tutoring comes from tutoring a few students from my community church and they have improved incredibly and are now getting better grades. I am capable of doing so because I have a strong understanding of Math and Science and I demonstrated this in my Cambridge IGCSE exam when I got an A in math, chemistry, physics, and biology.
