About Frankie
As a student myself, I understand the stress and pressure that comes with exams and school in general. I also understand how insurmountable exams can seem when it just seems like nothing's sticking in your head. I focus on retention and memory techniques; I believe it's at the secret to excelling in exam settings - it's how I achieved mostly 8s & 9s in my GCSEs, and am predicted 4 A*s at A-Level, having applied to Oxford University. I always see significant academic progress in my tutees, even after only a few sessions, because I don't simply explain the answer to a question, but how to answer it, and then how to translate these skills into an exam setting.

I believe academic excellence stems from curiosity and a passion for learning. I focus on nurturing this in my students, recommending wider reading and providing resources to go beyond specification. I have been tutoring for over 3 years, and can teach all levels from primary school to 18. A typical lesson is usually 1 hour for a KS3 or below (pre-GCSE) student, as this aligns with attention span in my experience. I can offer 2 hour lessons, although it would be best for the student to have multiple 1 hour sessions instead.
