About Rachel
I am an English major at Yale University pursuing a writing concentration and French certificate. I have experience on the editorial boards of three student literary journals, and I have been writing creatively on my own for almost four years. My works have been published in over ten journals, including Lilun Magazine, Blue Marble Review, Lily Poetry Review, Adanna Literary Journal, Navigating the Maze, and more.

My lesson plans are always tailored to your own particular needs, whether it be helping with school assignments or customizing entirely new projects to target areas in which a student needs practice. A typical lesson plan would involve starting with the student's questions or concerns about an assignment, and then workshopping it together. As a tutor, I always make sure I'm not overstepping when I help edit a piece of writing—my job is to offer guidance to develop and enhance the essay while also staying true to my student's own literary voice. I have experience being a writing coach for all ages, but I mainly specialize in the middle/high school level.
