About Alissa

My students describe me as a calming presence. I guide sessions with a balance of grounded practicality and mystical curiosity.

I'm a Birth Story Listener, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in training (Advanced level), blended-family CEO & Tantric Yoga teacher. I've been practicing various forms of yoga and meditation for 20 years. I experienced major shifts in my life after beginning to incorporate tantric and somatic techniques into daily life.

My varied interests (all of which influence my teachings) include herbalism, shame recovery, parenting, mind-body connection, introspective writing, human relationships, birth trauma, astrology, the cycles of nature, and the body's innate wisdom.

Besides spending time with my partner and our six children, my current focus is on overcoming our society's lack of support for healthy family structures, and my passion is facilitating the freedom from shame in myself and others.

About the lesson

Would you like to learn how to turn yourself on with your own breath?!

My teachings are based on the principals of Yoga and Tantra, Somatic Experiencing, Birth Story Medicine, and more.

I incorporate meditation, movement, breath, visualizations, sounding, and somatics into the practices I teach. Each session takes a completely individualized approach. You'll get what you need, not a one-size-fits-all technique.

In person: I can offer hands-on somatic touch sessions as well. Please contact me to inquire.
