About Tay
I’m a Chinese-language coach who believes every child can fall in love with Mandarin when it feels like play, not pressure. My classes swap dull drills for story-building cubes, mini-debates, comic-strip writing, and tongue-twister championships so pupils laugh their way to a wider vocabulary, sharper comprehension, and braver speaking. I tailor each 60-minute session around the learner’s favorite heroes, hobbies, and learning rhythm, giving instant, gentle feedback that builds confidence faster than corrections build fear. Whether we’re one-to-one or a tiny trio, every student leaves with brighter eyes, clearer goals, and a personal “word bank” to keep growing long after the lesson ends.

My class will be fun. I am a patient tutor for primary students and secondary students (7 years old to 17 years old). Each lesson is usually 60 minutes and can be adjusted based on the student's age and attention span. My teaching methods are tailored plans targeting each child’s weak spots, heuristic methods spark critical thinking, interactive games keep kids active and build habits that last. Offer 1-to-1 or mini-groups (2-3) to make sure every student gets full attention and understanding.
