About Dilip
Swimming has always been my passion. During my stint in the Navy, it was a mandatory skill. Over the years, it became not only my exercise regime but my favourite hobby. I strongly feel that swimming skills must be acquired by one and all irrespective of age and gender, especially when we are residing on earth surrounded by 3/4th of water. In the eventuality of any unfortunate incident of ditching passenger plane over water, floods etc, we will need this skills to survive.

Swimming is a great recreational activity for people of all ages. Recreational swimming can provide you with a low-impact workout and it's a good way to relax and feel good. Swimming is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water.
Swimming is a good all-round activity because it:
1. keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body.
2. builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness
helps you maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs
tones muscles and builds strength.
3. provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming.
