About Mayada
My name is Mayada, I am a watercolour artist and tutor from the UK and I'm passionate about the medium. It is mysterious, has a mind of its own and it is beautiful. I want to help people to learn the basics of watercolours in order for them to go forth, break the rules of watercolours and use them in ways I may have never even thought about! When it comes to my teaching style, I like to remain approachable, chilled and fun with my students. I also like to make sure that the experience is personalised and based around you. When I am not painting or teaching, I am taking walks in nature, cooking weird and wonderful meals, reading or watching movies. I look forward to meeting you!

I like to take a friendly and patient and chilled approach to my teaching sessions, I'll talk about the child tutoring and adult tutoring separately. Kids - I teach both beginner art and beginner watercolours for children ages 5 - 10. I provide fun and exploratory lessons where not only do you enjoy creating cool art, but the techniques are learnt through doing. Adults - the way I tutor beginner watercolour art for adults is a bit more structured but still enjoyable, we go through basic techniques and then learn how to paint your favourite things or a range of fun and interesting subject areas. These sessions are 1 hour. I experienced teaching younger students in a school environment when I was in sixth form, assisting year 7 children in a variety of classes including art class. I also helped my brothers with their homework growing up. For both, a consultation with me to see what your goals are with teaching can be provided before we begin so I can tailor my teaching to your artistic goals.
