About Imraan
I’m a dedicated and patient GCSE maths tutor with a strong track record of helping students improve both their grades and their confidence. Over the last two years, I have worked with a wide range of students, from those aiming for top grades to those who just want to pass comfortably, and I always adapt my teaching style to suit each individual.
Having achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Maths and an A in A Level Maths, and now studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Warwick, I understand exactly what exam boards are looking for and how to explain tricky concepts in a straightforward way. I am always punctual, well prepared for every lesson, and easy to contact between sessions if a student needs quick clarification or extra support. My aim is to create a calm, friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to reach their full potential.

I focus on making maths feel clear and manageable by breaking each topic into simple steps and then building up to exam-style questions. I like to quickly find where a student is struggling, explain the idea in different ways, and then guide them through lots of targeted practice so they gain confidence as well as accuracy.
My lessons are typically one hour long, and I structure them with a short recap, teaching/explanation, guided questions, and then a quick review of what we learned and what to do for homework. I am a GCSE maths tutor with 2 years of tutoring experience, and I achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A at A level maths myself. My lessons are mainly for GCSE students (usually ages 14–16), but I am also happy to support keen younger students who want to get ahead or older students resitting their exams.
