About Shiuli
I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher specialising in the Early Years. I have been teaching for the past 12 years and have a huge passion for phonics. In fact, it is most definitely my favourite subject to teach! Prior to becoming a teacher, I was also an Early Years Practitioner in a Nursery for 4 years so I have always loved helping children develop, grow and reach their full potential. I am super excited to work with children on a one-on-one basis and I welcome the opportunity to help every child flourish and develop a love of reading.

My lessons are tailored to children aged 4+ and a typical lesson will start from 30 minutes, progressing to 1 hour. My lessons are fast-paced and engaging for little learners, with lots of games and challenges to keep young learners focused. I use a well-recognised phonics programme that I have taught for over ten years. I deliver lessons that combine both reading and writing activities that focus on recognising sounds, blending sounds together, letter formation and segmenting sounds for word writing.
