About Nora
I am a piano tutor with 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. I have taught approximately 250 students from young beginners to adult learners returning to the instrument. My lessons cover classical technique, jazz harmony, pop styles, contemporary piano, music theory, and examination preparation. I specialize in sight reading, chord progressions, ear training, and expressive performance coaching. I am passionate about helping every student develop a genuine and personal relationship with the piano. My lessons are always personalized, structured, and adapted to the student's pace and musical interests. I use backing tracks, ear training apps, and digital tools to keep sessions engaging and stimulating. I have helped students pass ABRSM and Rockschool examinations and perform confidently in recitals. I work with students of all ages with genuine dedication and enthusiasm. My piano lessons follow a comprehensive progressive approach building technique, theory, and musicality together. Every session begins with scales, arpeggios, and technique exercises appropriate to the student's current level. Music theory is integrated throughout lessons so students develop real musical understanding alongside technical skill. Adult learners work directly on music they love while developing solid foundational technique and theory. Exam students receive systematic preparation across all required areas with regular mock assessments and detailed feedback. Improvisation and composition are offered for students who want to develop creative skills alongside formal technique. Backing tracks develop timing, musicality, and the ability to play with genuine feel and expression. Clear written practice notes are provided after every lesson so home practice is always focused.
