Question 1. : Why trade discount is not recorded but cash discount is? Answer 1. : Because trade discount is reducing the price as of buyer bargaining power so the sales amount is recorded at sold amount but in cash discount sales and debtors are first recorded at original values and while making payment discount is given and the reduced balance of debtor is adjusted through cash discount account. Question 2. : How will you define working capital? Ans 2 : Current assets - current liabilities?? Not this. The correct answer is the amount of current assets that are financed by long term sources of finance. Hello students.
