About Devin
I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Miami where I studied Finance and Economics and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA in 2015. Since then, I have held a number of roles in the financial world, most recently on Wall Street as a financial analyst where I earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. While working, I have always enjoyed tutoring and have prior experience tutoring math on an independent and volunteer basis. My core competencies include math, Microsoft Excel, and finance. I have seen my students' grades and understanding improve while developing a professional yet comfortable relationship with them, encouraging them to come back for further assistance and without fear of asking what may seem like "silly questions". If we are able to connect, I feel confidently that I will help improve your understanding as well as keep you eager to meet again for further help.

What makes me different as a tutor is that my top priority is to help students find the enjoyment in learning. I firmly believe that if students are liking what they are studying, they will connect to it and have a better understanding, ultimately leading to better grades. Beyond helping you find an interest in the subject, my tutoring approach is to understand your learning style and adapt to it. I look to develop your understanding of the fundamental concepts, but also have plenty of tricks to help with memorization or "brain fart" moments.
