About Lizzy
Lizzy Galbo is a Master’s student in Music and Science at Durham and recently graduated from Fordham University in New York with Bachelor's degrees in Neuroscience and Music. She is a vocalist with 16 years of training spanning classical, musical theatre, and jazz techniques. Alongside her vocal studies, she grew up playing piano, violin, and cello, and is now an emerging composer of contemporary classical music. At Durham, Lizzy is a vocalist in the New Art Music Ensemble and Durham University Jazz Orchestra. She has previous professional experience singing for weddings, funerals, cabarets, and functions. She is so excited to share the wonderful knowledge she has accrued during her own years of vocal education!

My lessons will synthesize pedagogical methods from my own experiences learning techniques from accomplished professionals for the past 16 years.
In our hour-long lessons, we will first focus on technique with warm-up exercises, then work on applying these techniques within repertoire the student is interested in!
My methods will focus on learning proper singing techniques to produce sounds we love while maintaining vocal health.
My lessons are available for students of all ages looking to learn more about their voice and the art of singing!
I am also proficient in music theory and composition, and would love to tutor in these subjects as well.
