About Charntae
Singing requires total focus. I treat each session as a chance to find your natural resonance through targeted warm-ups and phrasing drills. My 9 years of experience allow me to identify exactly where your voice needs extra support or release. Whether you are a performance-focused student or a hobbyist, we will work on range extension and control.
I use the knowledge gained from my degree to explain the mechanics behind the sound. It is a very hands-on process that changes depending on your goals. We usually spend time deconstructing song choices to improve your overall delivery and confidence. I keep the atmosphere light and the feedback direct so you know exactly what is happening.

Focusing on head and chest voice, harmony singing, and vibrato control defines my approach to vocal coaching. I bring 9 years of experience gained from the Montreal folk scene to help you refine your instrument.
Having worked with 299 students, I understand the challenges of finding pitch control and rhythm in a live performance setting. My BA Musique populaire from UQAM provides the theoretical framework for the techniques I share. My personal narrative involves nearly two decades of gigging, which informs how I teach performance confidence to kids, adults, and advanced learners.
