• When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

  I have always loved music from as far as I can remember. However, the most memorable moment that stands out is when I sang in church after my mother had persuaded me to. And the whole auditorium was in awe for my voice. Funny enough, I also got my first financial reward from that performance. I was just a little 9-year-old boy with a voice.

• Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

  It's quite difficult for me to stream down the wider range of genres & artists I love and listen to to just one. But if I had no options, I'd go for Pop/Soul and Adele.

• Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

  That will easily be Tonal Harmony and Tonal/Modal Counterpoint, for students aiming to become music composers.

• What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

  Many music connoisseurs and critics believe the violin is the most difficult instrument to master, and I couldn't agree any less. The instrument is fretless and very technical. A minor error in posture or technique can make a major difference.

• What are your keys to success?

  The most important key is the discipline to practice the knowledge available to one.
  Being in the right environment for the kind of music one intends to excel at is also as important. This can be the right tutor or musicians of like passion.

• Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

  David Foster; he is simply my favorite composer/musician. He has created a lot of exceptional music.
  Adele; she is such a prolific songwriter with a voice that touches the soul.
  Darey Art Alade; one of the most creative entertainment minds I've watched and listened to over the years. His sense of fashion ia artistry is unmatched.
  The above are the three musicians I'd love to meet in the bar, and I probably asked a few questions.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

  Hahaha...There are many, but I'd share this one.
  As a child and teenager, I got a lot of positive reviews and reactions for my singing voice. So, as a freshman in the music department, I was given a few pieces to perform, and I failed the course woefully. That humbled me to study, learn, and take lessons to learn my voice as an adult. I came back the next year and had a distinction in that course. Today, I teach people all over the world how to sing properly.

• What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

  I believe I stand out as a Superprof because of my ability to adapt to students' needs. I evaluate my students and determine their level of proficiency, this helps me structure the training properly.
  The vast understanding of music subjects and the instruments I teach is a key factor. Plus, I play eight instruments (piano, violin, viola, guitar, bass, drums, melodion, and recorder).
  Lastly, I understand music training is a journey and not a sprint. So, I make my lessons as fun as possible.
