About Luis

I am a very dedicated and professional independent game developer with more than 7 years of experience with game development. I have created and published some mobile and PC games on my own and I would love to share all my knowledge with you. I've been programming since I was a little kid and I have a very big passion about video games and programming in general.

About the lesson

By teaching game development, I want to show the students that programming is not such a complicated task and that by learning the fundamentals of game development anyone can start making their own games. Simplicity is a key element in programming and I use this concept when I teach as well. I will teach step by step with a simple and understandable approach how you can develop video games.

When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I've been programming since I was 10 years old. I've always loved video games and one day when I was a kid, I just decided to make my own. I then started studying game development online through videos and courses until I got the hang of it. I've been doing professional independent games for about 6 years now.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
I'm very passionate about creating stories and new worlds that convey different emotions.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
What I like about tutoring is that I can actually help someone have an easier time learning than I did. I love seeing my students progress and learn the best ways to make video games and being able to express their creativity through their own games.
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
I've had a lot of teachers that inspired me. The biggest inspiration I got was from my highschool programming teacher, at the time he saw that I had a lot of potential for greatness and taught me lots of advanced concepts that I still use nowadays.
What are your keys to success?
