About Vela
I am an ESL tutor with 9+ years of experience teaching high school and college students, dedicated to helping learners develop fluency, confidence, and strong academic performance. My teaching philosophy is centered on personalized learning, ensuring that every lesson is tailored to the student’s unique needs, goals, and learning style.
I combine grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking instruction with interactive exercises, real-life examples, and practical activities to make lessons engaging and effective. I teach ESL using a C³P framework—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving. Creativity is encouraged through storytelling, role-playing, and project-based learning that inspires students to think independently and express themselves confidently.
Communication is central to my lessons. I incorporate discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises to strengthen fluency, comprehension, and real-life communication skills. Compassion ensures lessons are personalized for each student’s pace and learning style, offering guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
Problem-solving is embedded through scenario-based exercises, practical challenges, and analytical tasks, helping learners apply English skills logically and effectively. I also cover complementary subjects such as reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary enrichment to create a holistic learning experience.
