About Kim

Hi! I graduated from a Bachelor of Law and Commerce (HD WAM) at USYD. I am a Law Graduate in Commercial Litigation at a top tier Corporate Law firm. I am an experienced tutor (6+ years as of 2024), with extensive experience in tutoring a range of Law subjects, Commerce/Finance subjects, and HSC subjects. I am passionate about all of the subjects I tutor and I am committed to helping you achieve your academic goals, boost your confidence and marks in your coursework, and develop effect study and exam preparation skills.

MY EXPERIENCE
In Law, I have significant legal experience, which I gained through my clerkship and paralegal roles at several top tier law firms, my in-house paralegal roles, and my role as a legal Research Assistant for USYD Law School’s research centres. I am also a passionate mooter who has represented USYD at international moots.

In Finance, I also have extensive experience through my professional internships in Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Consulting, and Accounting. I have also completed numerous case competitions in Finance and Consulting at university.

About the lesson

LAW TUTOR
I achieved a HD average across my Law subjects at USYD and have 3+ years of experience in tutoring LLB and JD students in both compulsory law subjects and electives at USYD and equivalent subjects at other universities.

My tutor lessons are tailored to you and your needs. I can help you develop effective skills for answering problem questions (including structuring responses to questions, identifying the issues, and applying case law/statutes to the factual scenario to strengthen your responses), writing legal essays (including essay structuring, legal research and legal writing), and develop effective skills for studying course content and preparing for exams (including preparing concise notes and scaffolds). I can review your work, proofread and provide feedback to help you properly answer the question, correctly apply the law, and ensure your writing is clear and easy to understand.

FINANCE / COMMERCE TUTOR
I achieved a HD in all my Finance and Commerce subjects and have 4+ years of experience in tutoring finance and commerce subjects at USYD, and equivalent subjects at other universities.

I have significant experience in Corporate Finance theory and Financial Valuations and modelling through my university subjects, case competitions, and professional internships in Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Consulting. I can help with building your practical finance skills and understanding of finance and investment theories, and helping you prepare for your exams and assignments.

CAREER MENTORING
I have received requests from students for general career mentoring in Law and Finance, and I am happy to offer my mentoring and advice on career opportunities and pathways in the legal and finance industries, navigating university and preparing for your applications and interviews for internships, clerkships, and graduate roles.
