About Thurgashinni

Hi! I’m Thurgashinni, a final-year Bachelor of Education (English Education) student who is passionate about helping students improve their English in a comfortable, supportive and enjoyable learning environment.

I have completed my final semester and teaching practicum, where I gained hands-on experience teaching English to lower secondary students with different levels of proficiency. I also have experience tutoring primary and secondary students, which has helped me understand that every student learns differently.

As a patient and approachable tutor, I aim to make my lessons simple, engaging and suited to each student’s individual needs. I encourage students to ask questions, practice without fear of making mistakes, and build their confidence step by step.

I can support students with English vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, comprehension and communication skills. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident and comfortable using English in their everyday lives.

About the lesson

I believe that English is easier to learn when lessons are simple, interactive and suited to each student’s learning style. I first identify the student’s strengths and areas that need improvement, then plan lessons around their level and goals.

My lessons usually include a short explanation, examples, guided practice and interactive activities/gamification-based lessons. For students who find English difficult, I break topics into smaller and easier steps and use simple explanations and everyday examples. I also encourage students to ask questions, practice freely and learn from their mistakes without feeling pressured.

My lessons are typically 1 hour long, but I can adjust the duration depending on the student’s age, level and needs.

I am currently completing my Bachelor of Arts (Honors) English Education and have completed my teaching practicum, where I gained hands-on experience teaching English to lower secondary students with different proficiency levels. I also have experience tutoring primary and secondary students.

My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students, especially students who need additional support with English vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, comprehension and communication skills. My goal is to help students improve their English while becoming more confident in using the language.
