About Aaron
UoG Alumni with a honours degree in English and 3 years experience teaching ESL in China. I have my TESOL certification from Oxford Seminars and a TKTYL certificate (young learners) from Cambridge English. I have taught ages ranging from 3 to 50 years old.

For high level learners it`s important to understand the goals of the student. A typical class would begin with simple warm-up exercises (casual conversation, what can you do with, etc.) then shifting focus to comprehension and production exercises centred on the students goals. If the learner is seeking clarification or assistance on their school assignments then this time can be used for guidance. If time permits I`ll usually end class on a lighter note with a game or video clip geared towards their needs.
Young learners (depending on age) need more stimulation and routines in order to achieve success. Their classes would be more structured to include small activities throughout the lesson in order to increase interest and participation. I have a wealth of games and songs for many topics and can adjust during class to fulfill their produce the best results.
