About Harry
I’m a saxophonist and clarinettist with a background in both Jazz and Classical music. I have studied Jazz and Classical Performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, as well as at the Purcell School of Music, Royal College of Music Junior Department, Berkshire Maestros Gifted & Talented Programme, and the New York Jazz Academy.
Alongside teaching, I regularly perform at venues and events, most notably The Royal Albert Hall, 606 Club, Vortex Jazz Club and the Wycombe Jazz Festival. I’m passionate about helping students of all ages develop their technique, confidence and love for music.

Whether you’re picking up the saxophone or clarinet for the very first time, working towards your next grade, preparing for an audition, or looking to develop your skills as a jazz or classical musician, my lessons are tailored around you and your goals. I welcome students of all ages and abilities.
I believe learning an instrument should be both enjoyable and rewarding. Depending on your interests, lessons can cover Jazz, Classical, improvisation, technique, sight-reading, music theory, ear training and performance skills.
Lessons are 60 minutes and typically begin with the fundamentals of playing, including sound production, breathing, posture, embouchure, articulation and technical exercises. From there, we can develop areas such as scales, finger technique, sight-reading, rhythm, music theory, improvisation and repertoire. With a firm technical foundation, music becomes simple :)
