As a dedicated international math teacher with a Master’s Degree, over 10 years of experience, and a track record as a quiz bee champion coach, I bring a unique, results-driven, and heart-led approach to every lesson I teach. Whether you're a struggling student or an advanced learner, I tailor every session to build confidence, sharpen skills, and unlock your full math potential. Teaching Methods & Techniques I combine Direct Instruction with an active, problem-solving approach designed to deepen understanding and promote retention: Direct Instruction: I explain concepts clearly, breaking them down into simple, digestible parts. Series of Related Problems: Students practice progressively challenging problems that build mastery step-by-step. Shortcut Methods & Strategies: I teach practical shortcuts and math hacks to help learners solve problems faster and more efficiently—especially helpful in exams and competitions. A Typical Lesson Plan for My Tutorials Every tutorial is thoughtfully planned to maximize learning within a focused, engaging structure: Learning Goal – We start with a clear objective for the session (e.g., "Today, we will master solving systems of linear equations"). Exploration Activity (Lesson Proper) – I present the topic, use examples, and walk through step-by-step problem-solving. Series of Guided Questions (Activity Sheets) – Students apply what they've learned through targeted practice problems, often progressing from basic to advanced levels. Quick Recap & Feedback – We close with a summary, answer check, and clarification of misconceptions. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor Global Perspective: As an international teacher, I bring cultural richness and teaching strategies that meet diverse learner needs. Award-Winning Coach: I’ve led students to win in math competitions—bringing competitive strategies and coaching mindset into regular lessons. Faith-Driven Passion: Teaching is not just a job; it’s a calling. My passion for teaching is fueled by faith, and I believe every student is a gift. With God as my anchor, I guide students with patience, care, and purpose. Who My Lessons Are For I offer math tutoring for: Elementary School Students – Building strong math foundations and love for numbers. Middle School Students – Enhancing conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. High School Students – Tackling complex topics like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus; preparing for exams and competitions.
