About LJ
I am a Bachelor of Music student at the University of Tasmania. I major in songwriting but am a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar (acoustic, electric and bass), drums and piano as well as singing. I underwent private tuition for singing, guitar and drums all through high school and completed both group and solo music subjects in year 12 with a focus on performance and music theory. I love music and teaching it to others and hope to become a certified music teacher one day, so this seems like the best place to start!

I believe that practical, hands on learning is the best way to go, and that teachers should focus on what the student is interested in. We we will dive straight into learning whatever YOU want to learn. I'll ask you about your interests and short term/long term goals and assess how experienced you are first, then from there I'll give you the tools, advice and feedback you need to grow musically whilst ensuring I don't overload you with information.
I will avoid boring warm up exercises wherever possible, because I hate them too!
