About Mim
+ Who am I?
I am 20 years old, and a third-year Law student, however, my goal and aspiration is to become a successful musician, working under a record label created by me and my artist friends.
I am always looking for ways to improve my own voice and singing techniques. Though I have still not reached a level which I am fully satisfied with, I can say that my hard work has paid off. As whenever I listen to my records from a year ago, I feel as though my present self is a completely new person.
Progress is always something to be proud of.
+ Why do i want to teach others?
I remember during my summer school in Singapore last year, I met a friend who would compliment my voice and singing during karaoke, but always put down her own talent and potential as a result. She had the right tools to become a strong singer, and only needed some guidance and confidence to achieve this. I asked her to video call me whenever she felt as though her singing was "bad", so we could work on improving it together.
Teaching her opened the door for me in singing. I now not only enjoy singing and growing as an artist myself but also take great pleasure in teaching and assisting those with similar goals.
+ What i can assure you my lessons will provide?
First and foremost, I believe the environment and space you sing and practise in is important and vital, and so, I would make sure the space in which we hold the lessons is comfortable and confidential.
Life has many ups and downs, and if something unexpected would occur during our lesson, I would ensure that your health and safety are a priority, and act accordingly to provide so.
Finally, I can assure you that from my lessons, you will at least remember one thing if not everything. That you can sing! This will be reminded to you every lesson we have, as all my students are already making progress by showing up and wanting to make that improvement to their voice.
I will make sure you leave my lessons feeling like a singing baddie x

About the lesson

Our first lesson would be all about you and your aims and goals. For example, whether you are wanting to improve your singing so you can be the best voice during karaoke, or whether you want to become the next artist to blow up on Tik-Tok.
I would then ask you about your personal history regarding singing, eg. if you have had previous lessons.
Finally, I would ask you to sing anything you are comfortable with singing, and as you were singing I would take notes on your voice. The notes I would take would include your breathing technique, your tone, your enunciation of the lyrics, your facial expressions and the emotions emitted. These notes would then be briefed to you, in a manner that is easy to digest.
Finally, based on the notes made, I would lay out the upcoming lessons according to what your voice needed to become its full potential. For example, lesson 2 - breathing techniques. I would also ask you to prepare a song for the second lesson, this could be the full length of the song or a short snippet.
If requested, I could also provide a list of songs, that I would think to be appropriate for your voice, and singing goals.
The lessons would run for 1 hour and 30 minutes, including the warmup and introduction.
I have been teaching close friends and family various techniques to improve their singing for over 3 years, and have seen how much their confidence and skill in singing have grown.
My lessons are suited and appropriate for 15 - 25 year olds, looking for some advice and direction regarding their singing, from a teacher around their age range, as I am also very up-to-date with recent singing trends and songs.
