About Chiara
I’m a very patient person and grew up in a trilingual family, so I understand that communicating in a language you are not fully comfortable with can sometimes be challenging. If you don’t feel confident about your level of French, there is absolutely no pressure. Together, we can assess your current level through simple conversations and practical exercises, then adapt the lessons to your needs and goals.
I’m also very flexible and can adjust the number and frequency of lessons depending on your progress, availability, and preferences.
It would be a pleasure to meet new people, create a comfortable learning environment, and help each student improve their French while becoming more confident when speaking and writing.

Hello! I’m Herimanana Chiara, a second-year student at the University of Ottawa who grew up in Madagascar. As an aspiring speech-language pathologist, I am particularly interested in languages, communication, and helping others develop confidence in their speaking skills.
My lessons are interactive and personalized according to each student’s level, goals, and learning pace. I usually recommend two classes per week, combining grammar and vocabulary with practical speaking, reading, and writing exercises. I believe that learning a language should involve using it in real-life situations rather than simply memorizing rules.
I welcome both children and adults, from beginners to more advanced learners, and I am happy to adapt my approach to students who may need additional support with speech or communication.
I am currently available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekends.
