About Ekieoniso

My desire and love to teach maths began at primary school. I was able to understand the concept and apply it. My peers came to me at times for help and I was able to address their maths problems. This prompted positive feedback from them. I have been in situations where I had to teach my juniors, peers and, seniors. For instance, I was a maths tutor for my friend group in college, they could affirm for me because they always got positive results in their maths tests and, I once taught an older friend of mine GCSE maths for revision. Before every session with a student, I ask them to write out a goal they want from the lesson. We work towards this goal through different learning concepts I've been through. My maths grades through the years have been outstanding (A* with a score of 96 and an A with a score of 70 in my further maths in college...e.t.c). Lastly, I believe I will be a good tutor based on my experience as a tutee and tutor.

About the lesson

I start by ensuring my students understand the basic concepts using relatable instances before proceeding further. This is done between the interval of an hour to an hour and a half. I was a personal tutor to my classmates and juniors throughout my years in secondary and college. I am open to teaching anyone irrespective of age.
