About Mahir
Hi! I’m Mahir, a Mathematics student at Queen Mary University of London. I’ve always enjoyed solving problems and understanding how things work, and I want to help other students develop that same confidence in Maths.
I want to teach because I know how frustrating it can feel when a topic just doesn’t click. My aim is to make lessons friendly, patient and easy to understand, breaking difficult topics down step by step rather than making students feel pressured. I want every student to feel comfortable asking questions and to finish each lesson feeling more confident in their ability.
Outside of studying, I enjoy football, going to the gym and meeting new people. I’m approachable, enthusiastic and always happy to adapt my teaching to what works best for each student.

I offer friendly, supportive lessons designed around each student’s individual needs and learning style. I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on explaining concepts clearly, breaking difficult topics into manageable steps, and making lessons interactive rather than simply giving answers. As a Mathematics student at Queen Mary University of London, I have a strong interest in helping others develop their confidence and understanding. I am patient, approachable and happy to adapt lessons depending on what a student finds challenging.
Students should choose me because I want them to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived. Whether they need help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for an exam or simply building their confidence, I will take the time to understand what they need and support them at their own pace.
