About Nikhil
I am currently studying at the University of Nottingham. I teach 11+, 13+, and all three sciences and geography at GCSE (all boards).
Having been through the 13+ process myself and getting into my first choice schools I appreciate the commitment, time and energy that must be put into these exams and interviews. At iGCSE I received 4A* and 6A's.
I have successfully guided many students at 11 and 13+ into their first choice schools. At a GCSE level I have helped take grades from 6's and 7's to 8's and 9's. I have enjoyed teaching since school, where I would involve myself in peer mentor schemes to help younger students during lunchtimes. I also became a teachers assistant to a Year 7 chemistry class when I was in Year 12.
I not only believe in teaching, but I put a big emphasis on understanding material too. I am patient and can think of different ways to teach a topic, or help explain an answer. I also allocate teaching time on exam technique, revision technique, and helping students stay organised and on top of work.

My teaching methods involved both teaching the subject, but also teaching students how to revise it. The lesson plan will usually begin by reviewing any homework or recapping the last lesson. then we will go over a set number of topics within one subject. The last 5/10 minutes of the lesson will be a review of what we have learnt along with the setting homework for next lesson.

Nikhil tutored my son for his 13 Plus exams, helping him get accepted to MTS. He is organised and dedicated, and adapts his teaching style to best help the student. I definitely recommend him.
