About Flo
I am a compassionate and enthusiastic tutor, eager to work with students to improve their love and knowledge of English, from any starting point.
I love to study both literature and language, and am always encouraging those around me to read. I believe reading is one of the most important pastimes because it betters one's spelling, vocabulary and understanding of our society.
I believe any student from any starting point can work to improve their ability in English, with the right time and teacher.
I am patient, and hardworking, and eager to put in hours to make sure my tutoring is up to a high standard, and that my students are learning to the best of both their and my ability.

I am incredibly enthusiastic about the subject, and hope to convey that to any student I teach. I have previously tutored Year 7 & 8 in literature and language. Looking for GCSE and A-level students of any ability to teach.
I have an 8 and 9 in GCSE Language and Literature, and an A in A-level literature.
Lessons would be from 30 minutes to an hour, with in-depth analysis and marking from me on practice essays. My approach focuses on practice and improvement, as I believe a practical approach to learning is most effective. I also believe in independent thinking, and so I would plan on spending a lot of time discussing ideas at length and developing the thought process in essays that examiners are keen on. Original thought is most celebrated in a mark scheme, and therefore that would be encouraged.
