About Aven
I go to UGA, and I am a freshman. I am 19 years old, and I started teaching English in high school, my junior year. Since junior year, I have been taking college-level English, and I also scored very well on the SAT English section. I teach kids in school, but I also give horseback riding lessons.

I base my lessons on what each child needs as well as what they are interested in. First, I ask the child what they like and dislike about English. Then I ask the child to write a couple of sentences to see their writing level. Next, I channel their interest into improving their writing. For example, someone who likes princesses might want to write a creative story about their own made-up princess.
